Hutch+Claude Desktop

Use Hutch from Claude Desktop.

Add Hutch as a custom connector in Claude's apps.

Claude.ai (web) and Claude Desktop both speak MCP over remote connectors. Add Hutch once and your chats can read from or write to your structured data without copy/paste.

The setup lives in Settings > Connectors. OAuth handles auth.

Install

Step 1. Add the connector

Open Settings > Connectors > + > Add custom connector.

Paste this URL:

https://hutchdb.com/api/mcp

Step 2. Authenticate

A browser window opens on first use. Sign in with GitHub or Google and approve.

Step 3. Try it

Start a new chat and try:

  • “Store this article in my Hutch reading-list collection.”
  • “Save the bugs we just discussed to a "tickets" collection in Hutch.”
  • “What collections do I have in Hutch?”
  • “Find my notes about caching in Hutch.”
